Sr. Enterprise Analytics Database Administrator DBA

Intellect Resources has a great, new, permanent opportunity in beautiful Greensboro, NC for an experienced Sr. Enterprise Analytics Database Administrator DBA.
This position is responsible for the design & development of both relational and multidimensional database objects, for maintaining the data layer environment, and for ensuring the database layer access and logic performs efficiently. The Sr. Database Administrator will work with the data architects to develop the logical data layers supporting the enterprise data strategy and the analytic needs of the organization.
Prior Work Experience
- 6+ years of experience in ETL, SSIS, data warehousing, business intelligence and/or analytic platforms
- 2+ years of healthcare data experience
- Knowledge of medical coding in EMR and or claims data is required.
Development Skills
- Demonstrated intimate knowledge or experience with one or more of the following tools: Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Server Management Studio, Team Foundation Server, Erwin, SSAS, SSIS, Mirth, or Cloverleaf
- Ability to set best practices and mentor team members in the setup of Visual Studio solutions in order to facilitate collaborative development throughout the team
- Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience with ETL scripting, relational and multi-dimensional data warehousing.
- Ability to provide guidance to team members on the use of a source code repository to manage solutions in a collaborative team
- Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following languages: T-SQL, PLSQL, C#, Python, R, Javascript, or VB.NET.
- Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following alternative software packages: Oracle Warehouse Builder, SAS, Pentaho, Informatica, or Talend Open Studio.
Application Lifecycle Management Skills
- Knowledge of and/or experience with data, or validation practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of project management methods, agile design and development methodologies.
- Strong background in Application Lifecycle Management techniques for estimating work effort, creation development backlogs and the creation of development sprints.
- Knowledge of business systems analysis, JAD sessions, and requirements gathering methods.
- Knowledge of quality assurance testing methods.
- Ability to write technical documentation.
- Knowledge of developing and delivering technical training sessions.
- Knowledge of server/application administration.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
