SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Domain Change effects

  • Hello

We have few servers which are part of AlwaysOn(SQL 2012). But due to some requirement changes those need to be moved to a different domain? Now, Windows team takes care of moving to another domain but from DB point of view, do we have any effect on existing AlwaysOn configuration? Or will that function as is? Or do I need to break and reconfigure?

    Kindly advise.

    Thanks.

  • Any advise?

    Thanks.

  • One thing that comes to mind is you will have to reconfigure the endpoint URL's with the new domain information.  I suspect you will have to break always on down and set it back up.
