I've inherited a DTS package that did not run correctly in Visual studio. After a great deal of work I can run each of the eight steps of the DTS package one at a time and together successfully.
The data sources is coming from a link server over a VPN connection to a "Cloud provided" data source for major businesses.
The destination is Dynamics 365 online. So I'm using SSIS and Kings Way Soft connectors. Code is running w/o errors that I can see in the output.
I put the DTS package in the "file system" area and created a SQL job. The logs show that the job succeeds. But looking at the audit logs in the Dynamics 365 online instance, I see that the job stops at different steps. Most of the time it stops at step one, today it stopped at step 2 and then again at step 6. I ran it again and it stopped at step one again.
I'm wondering if it is the connectors or bandwidth failure since I can't seem to find a failure other than the results are not what occurs when I run the DTS in Debug mode.
