Hey guys,
I am getting this in my errorlog, I am unable to find the cause, does any one know what is this about, thanks in advance
Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 73.
Login failed for user 'domain1\user1'. Reason: Failed to open the database 'uxxxxx_prod' configured in the session recovery object while recovering the connection. [CLIENT: xx.xx.xx.xx]

Have you tried opening a different instance of SSMS?
OK, that was a wild assumption.
Are there any other error 18456s from the same time? Say, State 38?

yes and it did work, however I am not able to find what caused it

Had the database been dropped and recreated between you connecting to it and you then attempting to query it?

well this was a copy of a prod database, that i used to recover some data, the database was restored with stopat timestamp and recoverd
