Hi there
Im working on a SQL Server 2008 database.
I would like to reverse engineer the struture of the SQL Server database into Visio, so that I can examine the tables and the structures of it/
Does anyone know the exact version of Visio needed for this ? Is it 2010 or 2013? Premium or Enterprise?

I would say any version would work fine. Hell, I would use Excel personally with a tab per table. That's only because I prefer to define data dictionaries over visio graphics as it's often hard to correctly define large databases in that tool. Visio is better for defining data pipelines and high-level abstracts of infrastructure stacks.
Though, I will say, I once had a senior DBA define our large database in visio to where we printed it out and covered the wall with it. The approach was good for bringing up business users and showing them where on the doll it hurts. :Wow:
For example, it's easy to define all the fields, data types, keys, indexes, triggers, and cardinality in Excel.

2010. It was version 2013 where they dropped the reverse engineering.
