Hi,
Can someone please inform me how can i check size limitations for reports generated on Sql Server Reporting Services? I can run a report without any problems when i set month parameter to 1 or 2 but when i increase this parameter i get the error "Subreport could not be shown".
Best regards
Lukas

What are the errors in the Reporting Services log when this happens?
I've never seen the error be from the size of a report, usually it's a timeout or other issues. The timeout errors get logged.
You would also want to check the execution log - check the ExecutionLog3 view for the report. Which process is taking the longest?

Thank you for replying.
I'll try to look at log but i don't have direct access to it. I need to ask admin for a log but for sure your reply is something to start from.

Sorry...didn't realize you wouldn't have access. But it is a starting point.
If it is a timeout, you could go over the following with the admin:
Troubleshooting Timeout errors in Reporting Services

So, today the same situation as yesterday. No errors when generating report under VisualStudio, error ("Error: Subreport could not be shown.") when running report with Report Server.
I've attached an .jpg file with most important columns from ExecutionLog3 for that report. In addition, i recevied a message from admin that states as folow:

reportrendering!ReportServer_0-9!3028!01/09/2018-11:50:52:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.RenderingObjectModelException: , Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.RenderingObjectModelException: Data retrieval failed for the subreport, 'Digital', located at: /Reports Finance SAP/102_Main_subreport.

So, as Sue_H mentioned in previous post, i think this is a timeout error. Maybe information that i've attached will clearly define reason for error, can anyone please confirm?

Best regards
Lukas
