Issue with Multiple charts in one report

  • Any help with this case would be appreciated. Please find the issue with 2 charts being in a same report the rendered output in the IE is not correctly alligned.
Same shows  fine  in the Preview mode in the reporting tool.

  • At a guess, your two charts don't have the same positioning. Are the top and height measurements on charts are identical? If one is in cm and the other inches, ensure both are using the same.

Also, the first image is from your design view, not preview, and shows 2 charts where as your second image has 4 (that aren't therefore comparable). What does it look like in Preview?

  • Hi Thom, Yes the positioning in the image was wrong. I have rectified and tried again.
Still no luck. Measurements were in inches in both the charts.
Preview mode  look s like below :

  • I'd be looking for some element with "Can Grow" turned on that may not be readily visible, but it's size is still being accounted for.  Are you using columns?

  • You can try the "rectangle workaround". If you can't the charts to render correctly after checking all sizing, settings, etc try putting the charts inside a rectangle. That can sometimes work. Not always but maybe worth a try. But I would still guess it's a sizing issue as well.

  • Hi,

I am experiencing exactly the same issue.
Added 1 Gauge to a report and it works.

But if you add 2 or more Gauges, preview is fine in the Report Builder, but when deployed, IE shows messed up formatting (the same as OP).

Tried in rectangle and outside of one, but the same occurs. If I have 3 gauges, I get 9 gauges in IE...

    I can't find a solution anywhere, we're on Reporting Server 2008 r2

    Any ideas?
