OpenRowSet remote file

    Good morning
    I have finally got the openrowset to work with excel.But now  found that the file it reads must be on the server to read it.Is there a way that I can read a file from a user's pc or from a remote location.The openrowset will reside on the server,but the file which must be read will be on the user's pc.
    Any recommendations?

    You need to set up a share and provide the appropriate permissions. What did you try and what was the error?
