  hi everyone
  not sure if this is the correct place for this or not..
  i have been using this forum now for years, and its been an invaluable resource for someone who only has time to really dip in and out of sql! the knowledge that people have been willing to share and help with is unbelievable..

  but i have my limits, unfortunately, and there is only so much i can get from a forum answer! and what i want is real expertise for a couple of days

  i have 2 mains sql servers, 1 old sql 2005 server which runs our main erp system with mulltiple dbs, max size 560gb. We have another sql 2012 setup, which was to be the future 3 years ago, but the full erp project never took of , so now it manages dbs for 3 smaller companies we own.

  both servers have their issues, but i dont really have the knowledge to develop a clear document illustrating the failings, the new server is my main concern as this could have been the primary sql server for the entire company. I dont know if its storage configurations, vmware, general sql setup etc, but i need to make sure it does not happen again when the erp project does kick off later in the year.

  Is there anyone out there looking for a couple of days work?
