Good headphones for all day at work?

  • I am wondering what kind of headphones you folks would recommend for wearing all day at work, preferably without breaking the bank.   I am looking for something that goes over the ears rather than in-ear type headphones.  I need something that will be comfortable for 8- 10 hours of wearing, and delivers decent sound quality, preferably with good Bass response.  I am sure I am not the only person here that wears headphones for most or all of my day.  I am aiming for a pair that is less than $50. Also, I have a fairly large head, so the band would need to be able to accommodate that.

Best ever, Bose QuietControl 30 wireless headphones (£259.95)

I would love to buy myself a pair of them, but I do not have the  money for something like those :crying:

Bought these four years ago. They're looking a little rough now but still better quality than several I've tried that were much more expensive.

  • At home I use these from Harman Kardon, very good sound indeed
    😎

  • I've got a pair of Bose QC15s (wired noise-cancelling). Fantastic headphones, but not cheap.

I would recommend spending a little extra on headphones, if you use them every day, it matters. Same as spend money on a good screen, good keyboard, good chair.
I had a cheaper pair of noise-dampening headphones, lasted less than 2 years. The Bose are heading for 4 years old, no problems at all.
