From which Microsoft version 32 - bit was stooped?

  • Can i know from which version Microsoft stops the 32 - bit? it's SQL 2008 R2 or 2012 or 2014? please someone confirm.thanks.

and also please provide the link to verify the same.

    Thanks.

  • Looks like 2014 was the final 32-bit version.

Check this page: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506(v=sql.120).aspx#Hard Disk Space Requirements (32-Bit and 64 Bit)

  • When I look in MSDN subscriber downloads, I see x86 and x64 versions for SQL Server 2014. However, I don't see it for 2016.

What are the specs (hardware and OS) of the server you're wanting to install on?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your reply,

But we can't see 32- bit version (Standard edition ) in Microsoft Volume License Server center and one of Microsoft support executive say's that Microsoft stops the 32 - bit version in the SQL Server 2008 R2, that means SQL Server 2008 R2 is the last edition for 32 - bit ?

    Please confirm.

The link I provided is very clear, why do you not accept it?

    No.

SQL 2012 had a 32-bit version, so did SQL 2014. The only version that doesn't have a 32-bit version is SQ: 2016.

That said, why do you want to install the 32-bit version?
