Hi guys, need help on partition for Cube.
I want to create new partition for my existing Cube. Steps I did:
- in VS 2010, open the SSAS project
- in Data source View (DSV), create New Named Query, put the query from last year NamedQuery fact table's and change the year.
- in DSV, try to Run or Explore data and looking good.
- Double click the cube for editing.
- Checked in Edit form - Tab Cube, data source view, my new NamedQuery exists.
- Go to Tab Partitions
- Create New Partition, Wizard opened, within the same Measure Group (because it is the only one), already correct Data source view (because it is the only one), but in Available table, I do not see my new NamedQuery.
After create new NamedQuery, I tried to Build, Rebuild, Deploy the project and successful. Still when create New partition, the new NamedQuery not appear.
Please help.
