DDL Trigger - Initial Load of Table used to track Database Changes

  • I have successfully created ddl trigger to track all changes to the database. Is it possible to do an initial load of all sql objects into this table that would match the EVENT_INSTANCE/TSQLCommand format that is created after the DDL trigger was created.

  • without your table definition so we know what you are auditing, we cannot help much, but what you can do is simply insert into your audit table, from the sys.tables structure for example.

    INSERT INTO DDLChangeTrackerTable(TableName, OtherColumns)

    SELECT

    name AS TableName

    OtherColumns

    FROM sys.tables
