I am looking for a short piece that shows how to check if a user is a member of a database role? Please show built in and user defined roles. Also, show how to query for all the database roles that a user is a member of.

This should be 1-2 pages, a short tutorial.

Take it. I prefer that you get one done before doing another, but since this and the server one are very similar, do them both.

You can use the same style/template/language in both for the most part if you like.

Will do. Is there any preference if I show this in T-SQL and in PowerShell, or you prefer just T-SQL?

Both are fine. Include some scenarios/examples, so that someone not sure how to do this understands what they are doing here.
