sporadic Event ID 107 errors on Win 2003 R2 x64 SP2

  • SQL 2005 with SSRS.

Have started getting Event ID 107 on a random basis.

"Report Server (MSSQLSERVER) cannot connect to the report server database."

Might get 4 of these within a couple seconds, then nothing for hours (reporting working correctly) then another small batch comes in. Happens a few times a day and I so far can't correlate it to anything else. I don't see any issues with the Reporting Service restarting.

In the ReportServer log file at the same time, I found what is below. We've already checked things such as DNS problems, bad windows route, etc. so I don't think its a problem with actual connectivity.

    Thoughts please? Thank you!!
