Dates Automatically Changed in SSRS from SSMS - is it Trying to convert to British Summer Time?

  • Hi all,

I have a procedure in management Studio, which records (amoung other things) the value of a date field that users enter in our software system manually. As an Example, suppose that a user has entered a DATETIME value of 2013-04-03 19:00:00.000. If I run the procedure in Management studio, this correct date and time is returned.

However, when I then use that procedure to form the basis for a report in Reporting Services, the field now displays as 2013-04-03 20:00:00 - all the times are one hour later than saved.

This problem has only recently been reported to us by the users, so I am guessing that it first appeared when the clocks changed here in England to British Summer Time. The servers all use GMT, but is Reporting Services trying to change all these times because it thinks that GMT no longer applies? How can I stop it from changing dates and times in this way? I want it to display exactly what the users enter in the field...
