Does anyone know the licencing implications for SQL 2000 Client Tools. Do you require a CAL for each machine that you install the client tools on ? Does it depends on the licence of the server you are connecting to, eg Standard licence, Enterprise licence ?
Any info would be very useful.

My understanding is that you can install the tools as often as you like as long as you have a SQL Server license. You would need a CAL to connect to your SQL Server, unless you bought a per-processor license.
