Trouble With Query Analyzer

  Up until recently I was running (successfully) query analyser on my local machine (win 2000 sp4). I have sequel 2000 installed on the local machine and another running on win2003.

  Network connected through a workgroup

  Last week, I needed to rebuild the local machine and for good measure, I installed active directory on the win2003 and set up a domain.

  Query analyser is working ok, so is Enterprise manager. I can see both servers, running queries etc all ok.

  My problem is using the file menu in query analyser, every time I click on the file menu, it hangs for about 30 seconds. This happens on both machines.

  Very frustrating, especially opening scripts.

  I have sp3 installed on both machines, any guidance would be appreciated.

  (I understand sp1 corrected an issue relating to QA hanging)

  I recall seeing something about this in the MS KB. There was a hotfix or something for it.
