Hi Guys
Dont suppose anyone knows of a tool that'll do an instant security audit of an entire SQL Server?? Seem to recall summat from one of the "Best of SQL Central" eBooks (mght have been a script actually!?) ... but i haven't got my copy of that to hand at the moment.
Basically, I started a new job about a month ago ... and have kinda found that they're a "little" lapse on the security side ... partially because they trust the ppl in the company ( ) and have a good firewall! Not a great excuse, in my mind ... but that's the way it is!
Anyway ... if anyone can point me in the right direction, it wud be appreciated. No real rush ... am probably gonna write something myself (or find the article!) anyway!? lol
Cheers
Mark

Search the site, there might be something there. NGSSoftware has some tools as well, that might help you.

You can also give Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer a test. Like Steve says, NGSSQuirrel for SQL Server from NGSSoftwareis a great tool. Also take a look at SQLSecurity.com where you will probably find more material than you can imagine.
