When I have installed Service Pack 3a I found several times the installation completed with the following error on SQL Server Service Pack Log file "sqlsp.log" under "C:\Window"
- Installation completed with errors (number of nonfatal errrors: 1) - Reboot required.
Is that above error arising because of the following one, otherthan this i do not find any error , failure in "SQL Server Service Pack Installation Log"
"E:\SQLSoftware\SP3a\x86\Fulltext\MSSearch\Search\searchstp.exe" /s /a SQLServer
Process Exit code : (2) The System can not find the file specifed

The simplest thing to do would be to apply SP4, and see if you get the error with that version. Though I haven't ever had an error with SP3a, there could be a glitch on your system that SP4 will overcome.
So long, and thanks for all the fish,
