  I am trying to set up transaction replication on one server  which is a publisher, distributor and subscriber by itself. When configuring the distributor the whole process seem to be hanging with no progress in its state when checking after few mins. Any thoughts why this is happening. TIA.

  How big is the Tables/Database you are trying to replicate?

  Is the entire SQL Server hanging? or is just the Replication process?

  Is this occurring when you are perfroming the INITIAL Snapshot or when the Distributor is replicating transactions?

  More info is required!
