Can anyone let me know immediately, how to view job history for a User Created Login. To some extent, i know, create a role which contacts suitable msdb jobs rights.. (but dont know which one i should give for this role) and then assign the user created login to this role.
Thanks,
sesh

Please explain. Jobs are jobs.... users are users. Job histories belong to jobs period. There is no relationship between jobs and logins.

Ok, I am assuming you want to let a login who is not part of sysadmin view the job history.
First you must configure the proxy account for the SQL Sever Agent then you can add that login to TargetServersRole in msdb. I hope you are using SS 2000 sp3
is that what you wanted?

Guys,
Thanks for your msgs. Now i have resolved this issue. Actually there is one Windows NT login which is needed to give permissions to view Jobs created on the server.
It has been added to new role and given select access to 5 tables which are related to job related tables.
Thanks to all your help.
