VERY new and dome dumb questions

    Hi all. Im VERY new to SQl and have a few questions.

    I need a SQL dB, so I found a host that offerd it. They set up my DB, and said I need to purchase Enterprise Manager to set up an alias.

    Well, I got SQL enterprise Manager (opensource) and am totally lost.

    How do I install it? therer are no docs included with it.

    I know this is a basic question. But Im totally lost.

    Assuming that the enterprise manager you have is

    "SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC", you would create a new shortcut for mmc.exe, with a startup parameter for the Enterprise Manager msc file, as follows:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mmc.exe /s "c:\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC"
