Hey all,
can I use squl server for my home run business? Only on one home server? Or is it used for business use only?

Sure, if you have a product that runs on SQL, or you build one. MSDE is a free version of SQL that might be appropriate. Has some limitations, but a super easy upgrade path to the 'real' SQL.

SQL Server can be run on any machine of your choice for really any reason. The licensing is now based on number of CPU's so if the box has 2 you have to by a 2 CPU license. Now if the cost is too much and you will not have a lot of connections or data stored then you may want to consider using MSDE SQL instead, comes with Office and not sure where else or if the stipulation is you have have to office installed to run.
