Hi everybody,
i would like to have help to understand a data type properties i have seen on a Transform Data Task. I precise that i am not american or english so it is more difficult for me to understand...
I have a dts (made by another guy) that put data from a table on a file text. The thing i don't understand is what is data type "Quotable" ?
For example if i have from the source this data 79898 what is the difference to the destination if the type of the column is quotable or not?
Morever i would like to know about the size, i can see a field called "size" but what is the data type (varchar,integer...)?
Ex: Name : id Type : Quotable Size : 128
If anybody could help me that would be great
Thanks.

IMHO your "quotable" datatype is a user defined datatype ![]()
Easyest way to find out is to use Enterprise Manager, connect to the database and browse to the "user defined datatypes" section.
