I’m in Analysis Services Tutorials > SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services Tutorial > Lesson 2: Defining and Deploying a Cube > 7. Switch to Cube Designer in BI Development Studio by clicking the designer tab for the Analysis Services Tutorial cube. Select the Browser tab, and then click Reconnect on the toolbar of the designer. Alternatively, click the Click here to try loading the browser again link that appears in the middle of the browser pane.
Until this point everything has worked just the way the Tutorial says. While some of the screen shots in the tutorials are a little different they are not that much different. Clicking on Reconnect on the toolbar of the designer or the Click here to try loading the browser again link gives me an hour glass.
After long periods of time (ten – fifteen minutes) I click the close box on the upper-right corner and get the “End Program– This program is not responding box”.
I‘m running:

I’ve tried setting-up my own simple cube and can not browse it. What am I doing wrong?

Have you checked your permissions on the cube? What about the fixed server role - are you a member? What about the user you are using for the service does it have needed permissions (can you restart the service)?

Checked everything. Even went into SQL Server Management Studio, Connect to Analysis Services and can see the database. Can see the properties for the Data Sources, Data Source Views and the Cube.
When I try to browse the Cube from here I get the same results as I get from inside of BI Development Studio... A hungapp.
