• Hi Steve (and community).

It's refreshing to see someone talk about competing products in civil tones. I'm of the same basic opinion as you are in that different databases, different development tools, different operating systems are all tools to be used to accomplish something. I have my preferences, as does everyone else on the planet. I get paid to work with SQL Server, but in my own time I prefer to work with other technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, HSQLDB, etc). By the same token, I use Windows at work, but Linux at home. In my life, each has it's place and one cannot completely replace the other. And the best part is they coexist peaceably. Now, if people could do that as well.

    Peace,

    Phillip
