Hi there!
Can anybody help me with SQL Mail System? I have SQL 2000 and Outlook
on the server. I configured Outlook profile and SQL uses it very well.
When I run
xp_sendmail ‘abc@hotmail.com’, ‘test’
Query Analyzer response
Mail Sent.
But when I check hotmail mailbox it’s not there. I should run Outlook and only after that message comes to hotmail mailbox. I do not have Exchange Server. We have contract with third company who is hosting SMTP and POP3 mail servers.
So, question is can SQL send mail without starting Outlook for this configuration.
Thank you.
