buffer latch type 2 error for spid115

    Every week or two sql2000 box hangs and in the logs I find these 2 errors and I don't know what I need to do to fix the problem.

    Waiting for type 0x2, current count 0x1000022, current owning EC 0x68D49D0

    Time out occurered while waiting for buffer latch type 2, bp 0x1234ac0, page 1:30

    this might be of some help; what SP is on your i searched the KB and found something that references the dccc shrink command on a win2K SP2; fixed with alter patches/hotfixes:

    Time out occurred while waiting for buffer latch type 2
