Twice in two days, we have had a daily scheduled job not run. If you look at the jobs in the SQL Agent/Job window, it shows:
Enabled Runnable Scheduled
Yes Yes Yes
Yet, when you open the job and look at it's schedule. It says disabled. I change it to enabled, save, and check the SQL Agent/Jobs window and it all looks on (all Yes). Open the job and it's schedule again, and it's back to Disabled!!! Both I and a collegue have tried this, locally on the server and remotely via EM, and the same behavoir for both of us.
I have completely deleted the schedule now, and it SEEMS to be sticking this time. (Will check again tomorrow) Has anyone has any problem like this? A known bug perhaps?

I am not sure exactly what may be happening but there are several things that can do this. I am betting however the old schedule may have been set to one time and not a reoccurring schedule. Which if were the case would automatically disabled itself. Now as for your recreation, if does not happen again that may have been it. If does then need to perform a PROFILER trace to see when the call to disable is happening.

It was set as a Daily@7pm recorring job. The weird thing was that you could sit there and open the job properties, change it, save, open again, and it would be back to disabled. For whatever reason, deleting the schedule and readding a brand new schedule seems to have worked. (We'll see!)
Thanks...........................

I've had this happen and the cause turned out to be there was an end date set for the schedule.
