Yeah, I've worked for companies that mandated that you must use at least two weeks of your vacation and be out of the office during that time. It 'wasn't use it or lose it' but rather "go away, and we'll see you back in a couple of weeks".

That's great , allowing a full disconnect. And training for the mythical man bus as Murphy's laws favor a time when the expert is unreachable

My wife and I are trying to take a short break every month for the rest of the year. It's been a year, so some quick getaways and disconnects are nice.
I may actually run out of vacation before December this year.
