Plan your 2026

,

If you don’t have a plan, you’ll accomplish it. That’s not a good thing.

When I don’t have a plan, I feel adrift. I get what I get out of life, whether I like it or not. I’m not able to seize opportunities. I don’t have a direction in which I know to head. And whether it’s for the day, the week, the month, or the year, I am often left with a feeling like I didn’t accomplish as much as I could have. Worse, as much as I wanted to.

Admittedly, plans have to be flexible. Life is unpredictable and at times unfair. But with a plan, you have a direction to head. You know where to pour your energy and time. If your plan is specific and measurable, you can chart your progress. You can course correct if you start to drift. So it’s more than “lose weight.” It might be, “I’m going to commit to physical exercise 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes a session.”

Plan the important aspects of your life: job, health, family, friends, personal growth, and important hobbies. If your hobby is traveling and seeing new places, where do you want to go this year? What kind of budget do you need? When is the best time to go? Now you can make financial goals to make sure you can go and you can go ahead and schedule vacation and start your planning.

Don’t leave 2026 to chance. We are not promised tomorrow, but we should plan what we want to do tomorrow.
