Trace Flag 4299?

  • At SQL Saturday 391 this past weekend, someone told me that SQL 2014 has trace flag 4299 on by default. But Google has no information on this trace flag that I can find. Even the Microsoft SQL Trace Flag page has nothing on it that I can see. Which makes me question if this flag even exists.

Can anyone enlighten me, please? And if the flag exist, point me to a web link that I can share with my coworkers?

  • I'd push back on this someone and ask them. Because

  • It could be just set by default in their workplace (part of their install).

Thanks, Gail. I appreciate the insight.
