  Software Usage Metrics is disabled. - noticed this entry in a SQL Server 2012 Ent SP1.

  I googled it but couldn't get any useful info about what is "Software Usage Metrics", what it does, how to enable it, etc.

  Many thanks to anybody who can point me to the right direction.
