I'm not sure if this is the right forum if not please, if possible, direct me to one that might be.
I use VidCAD Phoenix as a OEM program that integrates AutoCAD to SQL server. It is used to create drawings that are fully data base compiled so drawing are unable to duplicate device labels with the same destination and one can generate bill of materials, cable pull lists, wire numbers and hundreds of other automated functions. I want to build a computer that will compile and generate documents in an instant. Some functions with a standard computer take a while to complete. I'm looking for input on types of processors, SSDs, memory, and other hardware that will work in combination with all of the above programs. SQL server works in the background so is totally unfamiliar to myself and most other users of VidCAD. Problems pop up very infrequently and VidCAD provides full support when it does happen. Document examples attached.
Thanks Howard Quinton.

Does VidCAD Phoenix have any hardware recommendations?
Do the attached spreadsheets contain a copy of the data that is stored in the database?
When you say "Some functions with a standard computer take a while to complete" can you describe what one of those functions may be? And can you provide the specs of this "standard computer", like RAM, CPU, and disks?
Lastly, how much do you have to spend?
I suspect that there me be some less than optimal configurations within SQL that may make a difference.
