Folks,
I am new to SQL Server and would like to learn it. My friend recommended me to use AdventureWorks database, which is great. What I need is sort of a tutorial that gives lots of example and exercises which can be applied to AdventureWroks database.
I really appreciate your help on the subject matter.

I would say the subject is 'nearly' as broad as the topic of life. You have to dive in. There is no one book for example and the one that works for me may be 'too dumbed down' for the next person. It depends on your prior experience and so much. My best advice is dive in.....I started with MSFT's training kit for EXAM 70-732. It gave me traction for SQL Server 2008 and something to show for it afterward (passed test, got certified).
Best to you!
