Hi:
I have a SQL Server 2005 IA64 Data Base and I want to migrate that Data Base to a SQL Server 2008 X64.
My workmates told me I can do it by using the side-by-side Upgrade, but in each document that I reviewed, there was nothing, about that.
There was information about 2005 IA64 to 2008 IA64 and so on, but nothing about IA64 to X64
Is it Possible?
Thanks in advance

Your only option is to create a new server installed with x64 OS and SQL Server. Once installed, you backup the databases on the IA64 system and restore them on the x64 system.
