Hi
I am using SSAS 2008 EP and have developed a cube which I need to deploy in the production server (which has the same SQL Server package installed) but failed.
I have locally saved the cubes (the database files) but in the Data Source I have defined the credentials for the SQL Server and Impersonation Information (tried both service account and specific Windows username and password).
I am using deployment wizard, I details the steps:
1) First I selected my .asdatabase file
2) Second it asks for the destination but when it only would accept [localhost] (I tried the IP of the prod server but it does not recognize it
3) Clicking Next I completed the wizard
4) When I the scrip it builds the cubes in SSMS but in my PC [localhost]
5) I tried to run the same file in the prod server but it shows a lot of error.
Please advice and halp me out here on how to deploy on prod server.
Thanks

I have now deployed the cube. (All these time I tried to create a script and run that on the prod server)
I now need to access remotely through Excell 2007 but I cannot. This is what I did:
1) I typed in the server ip
2) types in the user name and password (widows admin login credentials for that server)
3) I can see the name of the project (cube folder) but inside it there are no cubes..its EMPTY
Though I can see the empty folder but when I try to login using some other windows user credentials it wont let me pass and prompts saying that "there was an error in the transport layer".
On top of that I cant bring them under same under the same domain (I'm not suppose to) neither can I use any other products (like sharepoint and SSRS) but only Excel
Please would someone help me to solve this.
Thanks
