Hi
Can the developer edition of both 2000 and 2008 run ok on the same machine.
I have a xp box.
I want to be able to run an app writing data to both databases, if I can't connect to one of the databases it uses the other until they both come back online then sync's.
We currently use 2000 but im thinking of trying out 2008, But don't want to destroy my current setup.
Cheers

No problem.
Just be aware of that only one instance can be DEFAULT instance.
The other instance must be fully named in your connection string as [Computer]\[Instance]

E 12°55'05.25"

I've had 2000, 2005, 2008, and four different versions of Express all running at the same time on an XP box. No issues. Well, except that it's slow as hell with all that contention for resources.
