Mainframe file pull from SSIS

    Has anyone pulled files from mainframe area using SSIS? I know the file names and have access to the area. But mainframe is no not intuitive like ftp server. I know how to use FTP scripts within SSIS.

    I am going to have to automate the mainframe file pulls since SSIS would need to pull about 100 files everyday and then process and massage them in nightly process.

    Any ideas are appreciated. I am very NEW to mainframe but have a fair knowledge of SSIS.

    What sort of mainframe? Are you just talking about files, not databases?

    Your mainframe tech guys will be able to help you, I would guess, in determining how best to do this manually. Once you know that, the fun with making SSIS do it for you starts.
