Different database software vendors share factor table for different processors(for ex. AMT or Intel). I want to understand what is exactly core factor, how it is measured, and how to use this data to benefit? Thanks
The table has to do with licensing. If you have a factor of 2, then you need two licenses for that processor. This was added as processors grew and changed and vendors didn't want to sell a single CPU license for a processor that had 4, 6, 8 cores
