2017 Express Installation Error

  • I have installed 2017 Express on 3 machines without a problem, BUT the 4th machine is nothing but trouble.
Attempted to upgrade 2012 Express, but that failed - I did not save the exact message.
Then removed 2012 and attempted a new install of 2017 which failed also. Below is the summary file contents.

I am unable to translate any info in the summary into a course of action to fix the install problem.
Any help will be much appreciated -- Joe

  • Quick thought, make certain that you have the required version of .Net installed, then start with the database engine only. Afterwards, you can add the other features.
    😎

  • I checked the .Net Version - I have 4.6 which is what the installer says is required.
Tried to install just the database engine, but that failed. Below is the summary log

I sure would appreciate any more help -- Joe
