Hi All,
Recently have installed SQL Server 2014 Enterprise edition on a server with OS "Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard".
The server is a VM on Linux physical host.
After install the Summary.txt file shows the OS version as "Windows Server 2012".
The log file looks like as follows:
Overall summary:
Final result: Passed
Exit code (Decimal): 0
Start time: 2018-11-05 10:07:39
End time: 2018-11-05 10:21:18
Requested action: Install
Machine Properties:
Machine name: <<Server Name>>
Machine processor count: 4
OS version: Windows Server 2012
OS service pack:
OS region: United States
OS language: English (United States)
OS architecture: x64
Process architecture: 64 Bit
OS clustered: No
Though SQL Server Instance is working fine. I am doubtful why the OS version shows a wrong one.
Could you please let me know if that can be ignored?
Thanks,
Dev
