Hi Everyone
I have 8 node FCI configured with Always On Availability Groups. 4 nodes in data center A and 4 nodes in data center B.
There are 9 AOAG roles spanning A and B data centers.
We don't have shared storage but we do have drives on each of the 8 nodes from SAN.
I will be upgrading SAN brocade switches in data center B so we will failover roles to data center A.
During this upgrade all SAN connections are disconnected and to prevent data corruption I want to stop SQL Servers.
This is windows server 2016.
Usually failover cluster manager starts SQL Server after 15 minutes due to a setting in Roles > Resources

Do i set it to "if resource fails, do not restart" or do i set it to "prevent failback" in property of the role.

Any help appreciated.
Thank you
