How to change drive on installation

    I do not have enough disk space on my server to install 2005 on the c drive.  How can I force sql to be installed on the D drive

    Hello,

    You can change the installation location by clicking on "Browse" button. It will show you whether you want to calculate the "disk cost" and on above you can find the browse button.

    Thanks but tried this and installation still want to instal 1.5Gb onto the c drive

    I noticed that as well. I don't know of a way to override that. Odd to me as in SQL2000 you could override both data files and program files. Since the program files take up so much more space than in 2000 you would think they would allow you to override it...
