Dts permissions.

    What kind of permissions some one needs to create a dts package??

    Anyone can create a package. Only the owner or system admin can execute it.

    Acutally, if the DTS package is created without a owner or user password they can edit and run. If you set an owner password and a user password anyone can execute it as long as they know the user password and design and run if they know the owner password. In either case if they have access to the desing they will be able to make changes, just not save them.

    Of course if they use DTS the account to make the connections inside the DTS package (reason for passwords) must have access to the tables in question.
