I moved all my instances to 1 node while I applied MS updates to my other 2 nodes. Now 1 of my instances will not move back to the updated nodes.
In the Cluster Mgr events I have the below error:
Cluster resource 'SQL Server (SHAREPOINTPRD)' of type 'SQL Server' in clustered role 'SQL Server (SHAREPOINTPRD)' failed.
Based on the failure policies for the resource and role, the cluster service may try to bring the resource online on this node or move the group to another node of the cluster and then restart it. Check the resource and group state using Failover Cluster Manager or the Get-ClusterResource Windows PowerShell cmdlet.
In the MSSQL error log I have a message that the server was stopped.
SQL Server is terminating in response to a 'stop' request from Service Control Manager.
For now I have left the instance on the non-updated server until I can figure out what to do.
Updated instances are now 12.0.5556
Non Updated instance is 12.0.5546
Anyone have any thoughts on how to diagnose or fix the issue.

What errors do you have in the Windows event log and also the cluster log?
There will be some information in those logs which will detail why the role is unable to start on the other node

Unfortunately the Event Viewer has nothing. All I have is the mentioned errors in my original post from Cluster Manager and the SQL Server ErrorLog file.
