sample databases for SQL server 2014

    We are using SQL server 2014 standard edition.

    Person in one department request to install training database adventureWorks and Northwind on their server for training purpose.

    I know adventure works are available , but cannot find northwind for SQl 2014.

    Is there a reason for that?

    If I install these databases, what things I need pay attention to?

    Northwind is obsolete. It was replaced by AdventureWorks, which was replaced by Contoso.

    Here is the CodePlex site where Northwind is maintained. It hasn't been updated since release 2008, but you can still restore the 2008 backup file to 2014, if for whatever reason you have a need for it.
