Licensing cost/best practices - Reporting services

    Hello everyone,

    How does the licensing works sql server reporting services on Production and non-Production. What will the cost and best practice to install SSRS. I would like to setup one environment for reporting where there will be 10 users accessing the reports (non-prod first and Prod later). Any thoughts much appreciated.

    This needs to be setup on SQL server 2014. Any idea on selecting Enterprise vs Standard edition for SSRS.

    SSRS is part SQL so if you have a licensed SQL instance already then you are licensed to use SSRS. The exception would be if you wanted to have SSRS on its own box then you would require another license.

    The only real benefit for Enterprise SSRS over Standard is data driven subscriptions.
