Hi friends,
When I run select * from sys.Partitions, output comes out with object_id (with 3-4 same object id no. some time 5-6 for different rows) and the same no. of rows. Does that mean duplicate values got inserted? how to fix this? Please suggest

There aren't any duplicates here, and nothing that needs fixing.
There is one row for each partition. It contains an object_id which is teh object_id of the table of which this partion is part. So if a table is partitioned into 3 partitions, sys.partitions contains 3 rows which have that table's object id in them - one for each of that table's three partitions.

Unique values in sys.partitions are defined by object_id, index_id, partition_number. There is at least one row in sys.partitions for each table and index on the table.
